The limited pallet we were working in was a key part of creating our distinct style. Some of the artists on team were having difficulty with getting difficult colors to translate so I made this graphic

Reusing assets was always very important to our project due to our tight deadlines this graphic was instrumental in making sure we were reusing the right graphics in the right spots

Additional rules to help make sure everything was as cohesive as possible. Rules are general and breakable to allow for creative solutions, but are firm enough to help guide the artists

I love moodboards! they help me communicate what sort of feel we’re going for in ways that words just can’t.

Each episode, and each interactive minigame I made one of these to help organize our workflow. I like to keep things color coded for ease of use. I also created a discord (similar to slack) to communicate and approve assets.

I loved doing the storyboards because it gives the artists a frame of reference for what was needed and it let us communicate with non artists a rough idea of what things would look like. I’d usually do this every week.

Some early non-vector sketches that were sent for approval to our client. This is normally what my drafting style looks like, I don’t normally work in very messy sketches I like to get things done in just a few clean sweeps

Some slightly more polished character ideas for once we were starting to nail down the color style. Still not vector, but I work slightly faster in photoshop.
